7 Dreamy Spots with a View for your Wedding Photos in Kamloops, BC

Are you worried about finding the perfect spot for your wedding photos? As a wedding photographer, I’m here to help you every step of the way with the planning process — including finding the best locations for your portraits! That’s why I’ve made this list of 5 spots in Kamloops with a stunning view to make your photos come to life.

Finding locations for photos on your wedding day shouldn’t even be on your list of to-do’s. Instead, just tell me the vibe you’re going for and I’ll do the work of finding us the perfect spot so you can have one less thing to worry about!

1 — The Grasslands Loop

I love this spot because it’s easily accessible (a short walk to the best spots) and it’s pretty central. Depending where your venue is, it’s a quick drive for some of the best views in the city.

2 — Shuswap Road

If you’re a local, you know the spot I’m talking about. The hoodoos in this area make for such a unique and desert-like backdrop.

3 — Riverside Park

Being along the river you get the best of both worlds — mountains views and shoreline vibes! It’s super easy access and there’s multiple spots across the park that would be suitable for getting some great photos.

4 — Paul Lake

If you have the time to take a drive on your wedding day, Paul Lake is definitely worth it. Although it’s often overlooked as it’s about 20km out of the city, if you have the time it’s worth it! Imagine hopping on your party bus and jamming out to your favourite songs while your driver chauffeurs you to some of the best views.

5 — Rose Hill Park

This is another spot that easily accessible. Rose Hill Park has AMAZING views and a lot of tree cover — something that will come in handy if it’s crazy sunny on your wedding day (good-bye harsh shadows!)

6 — Downtown

If you’re looking for an urban vibe, downtown is definitely the way to go. With tons of options for backgrounds, the views can be spectacular if you find the right spot!

7 — Lac Du Bois Road

If you love the Kamloops landscape and the abundance of sagebrush, this one’s for you. This area is filled with rolling hills and tons of sage and other foliage native to the area, giving you that beautiful and classic Kamloops background.
